THE CATCHMENT AREA & PLACING REQUESTS

The school lies two miles south of the centre of Inverness.  The catchment area includes and is bounded by: houses and streets off Drummond Road; houses on the west side of Culduthel Road from the junction with Drummond Road to Broom Drive; houses and roads off Stratherrick Road south to Balnakyle Road; houses and roads off Balnakyle Road to Lochy Road; houses to the immediate south of Balnakyle Road, Culduthel Avenue, and the Southern Distributor Road, bounded by Essich Road in the west, and Inverness Royal Academy in the East.

If in doubt whether a property is within the catchment area of the school you should contact the school.

Parents living outside the catchment area and wishing a place for their child at Lochardil School must make a placing request by writing to the Area Education Manager, at the Area Education Office, 13 Ardross Street, Inverness, stating the name and age of their child and requesting a place. As some of the classes are limited in size, it may be useful to contact the school to see if places may be available.
